El año pasado Jake Bugg fue el nuevo artista que me robo el corazón. Logro colarse entre mis discos favoritos con un disco asombroso para su corta edad. Pues en este 2013 ya tengo sucesor y no porque Jake no suene en mi ipod que lo hace y muy a menudo, sino porque otro jovenzuelo me ha dejado noqueado. King Krule tiene 19 años pero parece un viejo de 80. Su voz y su música son diferentes de la de Jake lo único que tiene en común es su juventud, su enorme talento y su amor por los sonidos añejos. "Easy Easy" es su carta de presentación pero es solo la puerta de entrada a su propio mundo. Aviso no es música fácil de digerir, es duro conectar y más duro salir de su hechizo. Pronto los hipsters te venderán la moto de lo que mola King Krule pero recuerda que aquí te dimos la pista antes. No todo en esta vida han de ser duos ni barbudos dilapidando riffs monolíticos más trillados que la tos. El disco de King es algo inferior en calidad al de Jake y es que también es más compleja su música. Tiene más matices, cuesta más adentrarse en su mundo. El pelirrojo británico ha parido un discazo enorme. Duele cada palabra que dice, pero dolor del de verdad. No hace falta escupirlo con rabia para que el efecto sea mayor. Donde Jake se frena King comienza. Crudo como el sushi. Para lamerse las heridas en casa con un buen vino. Pasa de un estilo a otro dentro de su propio universo. No ha inventado nada y lo ha inventado todo. Rompedor y transgresor. Tanto talento con 19 años significa algo… y es que este joven tiene pinta de haber encontrado el cruce de caminos que visito antes Robert Johnson.
