EDITORS
CONCIERTO BARCELONA SALA RAZZMATAZZ
19/10/2013
actitud... canciones que antes tocaban fijas show tras show y noche tras
"Two Hearted Spider" y "You Don`t Know Love" temas que son buenos,
pequeño bache con "All Sparks" , "Formaldehyde" y " A Ton Of Love" .
posible.
For
a veteran like me, see Editors for the 6th time , not an easy task ,
and that over the years, the album after album and tour after tour ,
have been lost along the way intensity , grit, attitude .. . previously
played songs still show after show , night after night is now gone as
is "Fingers In The Factories" , " Bullets" , "Blood " or some face B ,
personally are missing in their current performances , I mean, the glorious
days of "The Back Room" and " End and you Start" already gone , let's
be frank , Editors have been completely immersed in his last two
deliveries to defend to the hilt live , which is normal , since all bands do, but leave those three pillars of songs off the set , I find a joke in bad taste. No
, if the output " Friendly " the beloved four-string Chris to have
something to do with these issues , but if it is true that the new
guitarist Justin does not clash at all and defends well the more classic
and vintage issues of the band. As
keyboardist / guitarist Elliott very active throughout the concert ,
giving a freedom to Tom to sing without having hung the guitar or
sitting in front of the keyboard, which is agredece to enjoy her voice
to 100 %, although on more than one occasion of the evening I can feel rough and tired vocally .
In Barcelona , we saw the face of Editors more triumphant , as has become customary now, irregular began September 1 ( of course) that was over at least some outline along the way as a cathartic finale end with " Nothing" much better disk and the mega hit " Papillon " to terminate the evening after nearly just under two hours. Before final conclusions thoroughly go over the concert began with "Sugar" as they are doing throughout the tour and festivals , and then continue with strength and intensity "Someone Says" , "Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors" and " Bones" so far so good . After that began the downturn with "Eat Raw Meat = Blood Drool " , "Two Hearted Spider" and "You Don ` t Know Love "themes that are good , but it is not the most remarkable of his discography . They got this little bump with " All Sparks " , " Formaldehyde " and " A Ton Of Love" . from here to the final crucial moments especially contrasted with moments and songs that are not to be in a set list as "The Phone Book" and more on sound , cutting the beat and overall intensity of " Bricks And Mortair " a non issue is to my liking, very linear and monotonous. To go running the forced " Munich" or " The Racing Rats" .
In the encore said " Bricks And Mortair " , " Nothing" the only time Tom got excited , along with the usual end to the gallery and commercializes of "Papillon " lengthening to near 10 minutes , which also step with some other subject but throughout the set. Final conclusion : a good concert , with Tom ebullient and delivered but not as much as usual , a perfect set of lights ( the best I've seen of them ) and a set list to be irregular remedy ASAP.
