Mi amor hacia esta banda es eterno. Jamas comprenderé mi devoción incondicional por ellos. Bueno, si puedo. Pincho este o cualquiera de sus discos y al instante me viene a la cabeza porque los amo. "Tim" fue el primer disco en una multinacional. Pero suena igual de destartalado que los otros. Su música tiene ese algo sencillo, motivador que pocas bandas más tienen. Uno escucha a Guns 'N' Roses y al momento comprende que jamas tocara como Slash, ni en mil vidas tendrá el carisma de Axl ni el talento de Izzy. Lo bueno y maravilloso de The Replacements es que te ves capaz de ser uno de ellos. Aunque Paul sea un compositor como pocos. Si pudiera elegir ser un músico en esta vida o en otra la cosa estaría clara… Yo quiero ser un Replacement. Ni un Beatle, i un Stone ni siquiera mi amado Hendrix o Keith Moon… Ni Prince!. Este disco del 1985 no llego a mi hasta bastantes años después, es más "All shock down" fue junto a "Please to meet me" los dos primeros discos que me compre de ellos… Y en cassette!. "Bastards of Young" es un himno, la canción perfecta. pero todo el disco es un constante equilibrio entre banda de garaje amateur y banda profesional. Jamas los vi en directo ni los veré… pero hay vídeos y anécdotas mil sobre la mejor peor banda del mundo en directo. Los Sex pistola no eran punk. The Replacement si. Ellos lo eran todo. Recuerdo hace un par de In-Edit festival que vi el documental "Color me obsessed a film about the replacements" un documental que sin contener ni un segundo de su música y de sus imágenes logro que me enamorara más de ellos. Esa película demostró que los de Minneapolis son más importantes para el rock que el puto Elvis, que hicieron más por el punk que los pesados The Clash y que si The Beatles eran Jesucristo ellos eran su jodido padre. Amor, amor y más amor eterno por canciones como "Kiss me on the bus", "Swingin party" o "Hold my life"… El grupo con la mejor actitud del rock, con el mejor videoclip de la historia "Bastards of young" es una patada en la boca a todos. Disfruto de todos sus discos, e incluso ese comeback reciente no me duele… Simplemente es a su manera como siempre funciono todo en esa gloriosa banda. "Lay it down clown" es tan grande siendo sencilla que ninguna banda jamas podrá superarla. Slide guitars, un piano demoledor y una voz rota, como cuando bebes más de la cuenta y te partes el alma con los amigos en el pub. La banda de rock de la gente normal para gente normal. Llega un momento como en la vida en que te enamoras de una chica con locura… Sabes que no es la más guapa, ni la más lista del mundo. The Replacements son esa chica. Y el mundo tan asqueroso generalmente se vuelve un autentico paraíso cuando esa chica esta entre tus brazos… El mundo es un sitio mejor cuando suenan The Replacements de eso no dudéis.

" Tim " was the first album on a major label . But sounds just beat the others . His music has that something simple , motivating that few bands have . One
listen to Guns ' N ' Roses and when you realize that never touched as
Slash , not in a thousand lives have the charisma or talent Axl Izzy . The Good and The Replacements is wonderful that you are confident of being one of them . Although Paul is a composer like few others. If I could choose to be a musician in this life or another the thing would be clear ... I want to be a Replacement . Not a Beatle , ia even my beloved Stone Hendrix and Keith Moon ... Neither Prince ! . This

buy from them ... And on cassette ! . " Bastards of Young " is an anthem , the perfect song . but the whole album is a constant balance between amateur garage band and professional band . Never saw them live and I'll see ... but no thousand videos and stories about the best worst band in the world live . The Sex Pistol were not punk . The Replacement yes. They were everything. I
remember a couple of In-Edit festival I saw the documentary " Color me
obsessed a film about the replacements " a documentary that will contain
even a second of their music and their images achievement over me love
them. That
movie showed that Minneapolis is more important to rock the fucking
Elvis , who did more to punk than heavy The Clash and The Beatles were
Jesus if they were his fucking father. Love,
love and eternal love for songs like "Kiss me on the bus" , " Swingin
party" or "Hold my life" ... The group with the best attitude of rock,
with the best video of the story " Bastards of young" is a kick in the teeth to all . I
enjoy all their albums, and even the recent comeback does not hurt ...
It's just his way always worked everything in that glorious band . " Lay it down clown" is so great that no band being simply never be overcome . Slide
guitars , a piano and a voice broken devastating , as when you drink
more than usual and you soul parties with friends in the pub. Rock band of normal people for normal people . There
comes a time in life as you fall in love with a girl with crazy ... You
know it's not the prettiest , or the smartest in the world. The Replacements are that girl. And
the world so disgusting usually becomes a real paradise when that girl
is in your arms ... The world is a better place when that sound The
Replacements not hesitate.
