NUDOZURDO
"SINTETICA"
Everlasting Records
2005
*****
"Sintética" of Nudozurdo not a cheerful album but neither is a sad record, is a record that shows that we must destroy everything within us so we would not happen, the letters can be interpreted as self-destructive but are to learn not be.
Now it is autumn and the melancholy is favorable, is the best time to listen to and enjoy Madrid group of 9 songs done with guts. Songs that emerge from lively and facile pop that is done in this country and are closer to the Post Punk oscurismo Joy Division or The Cure, is an extremely dense disk harrowing atmosphere with many nuances and influences evident and more hidden, but known Leopoldo Mateos to bring to perfection the dark pop of the 80's but no sound reaches the Gothic.
The album kicks off with "Mil Espejos" from their first chords and you know that this album is going to catch and will not stop listening to the end, a song that reminds me of The Cure with an intro over 2 minutes guitar and drums that takes the listener on a pleasant hypnotic state, one of the best songs ever made in this country without a doubt!!. "Negativo" continued the same path of dark sounds with repetitive choruses. "Ganar o Perder" this song has a heavy load of sadness, the composition of the letter is only covered for those who have suffered some loss of dear in this life, and bass sounds throughout the song increases that feeling nostalgic. "Kamikaze" is a journey into the underworld of each person. "El Hijo de Dios" is one of the most famous songs of the group and personally I dislike them, by the closeness that has the familiar sound of Nirvana song "Love Buzz". "Otra Vez" by the point of the album but with quiet moments of debauchery, the guitar playing at times in the song is strong but not very generous in time. "No Hay Nadie" an issue if it were sung in English and in fact talking about a Seattle grunge band. "Ha sido Divertido" is a mixture of emotions without being able to decide at any time what is real. "Ido" is the album began despedide as an instrumental Post Rock totally free makes us all the sadness that had been accumulating for all songs, great way to finish the album.
My only hope is that the wind never changes and I do not ever hear me from what is really good.
