Séptimo álbum ya en solitario del que fuera vocalista y máximo
responsable de la banda angelina grant-lee buffalo,uno de los máximos
estandartes de la música americana alternativa de los años noventa. En
este trabajo nos encontramos diez cortes en poco mas de treinta
minutos con una belleza exquisita y una fuerza abrumadora y total.
Durante sus mas de doce años de carrera en solitario Grant-lee habia
conseguido un cancionero muy digno aunque con una pobre repercusión en
ventas y en estatus personal solo mas allá de el viejo continente
americano, aunque oportunidades las había tenido tras participar en
algún capitulo de la aclamada serie de las chicas gilmore por ejemplo.
el album comienza con una típica canción marca de la casa para abrir
boca como es
" Vanishing Song" que podía encajar en cualquier de sus
albumen anteriores. En la siguiente "Great Horned Owl" ya nos empieza a
avisar de lo que se trae entre manos unos puentes y punteados herederos
de Nick Drake por ejemplo. "Buffalo Hearts" es una pieza de pura
americana con una delicadeza y maestría digna de el mismísimo Neil Young
o Van Morrison que tanto le gustan y le ha influenciado. Uno de mis
cortes favoritos es "The Straighten Outer" que puede recordar un poco a
los trabajos en solitario de Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam). En "Fools Gold"
nada que ver con el viejo tema de Stone Roses, nos entrega una preciosa
balada,para seguir en su camino ascendente con la magnifica "Silent
Arrow". Llegamos a el punto álgido del álbum con "Bound To This World"
de una calidad inconmensurable y posiblemente una de las mejores
canciones grabadas hasta la fecha por Grant. En "Thunderbird" nos acerca
un poco mas hacia la gloria marcada por la anterior canción. Para
finalizar tenemos "Walking In The Green Corn" la canción que da titulo
a este fantástico álbum honesto y de calidad suprema. Solo queda ya
esperar que el bueno de Grant-Lee se deja caer en su próxima gira lo mas
cerca de España posible, para poder acudir a uno de sus shows y
disfrutar con sus canciones intimas y personales.

Seventh solo album and vocalist of the former head of the band Grant Lee Buffalo angelina, one of the highest standards of American music of the nineties alternative. In this paper we are ten tracks in just over thirty minutes with an exquisite beauty and overwhelming force and total. During his more than twelve years of solo career Grant-Lee had gotten a very decent song but with a poor impact on their sales and personal status just beyond the old American continent, but had had the opportunities after participating in a chapter of 's acclaimed series Gilmore Girls, for example. The album begins with a song typical house brand as an appetizer"Vanishing Song" that could fit into any of their previous albums. In the next "Great Horned Owl" and begins to tell us what he's up bridges and dotted heirs of Nick Drake for example. "Buffalo Hearts" is a piece of pure American with a delicacy and mastery worthy of the very same Neil Young and Van Morrison who both likes and has influenced. One of my favorite cuts is "The Outer Straighten" I can remember a little solo work of Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam). In "Fools Gold" nothing to do with the old theme of Stone Roses, gives us a beautiful ballad, to continue on its way up to the magnificent "Silent Arrow". We arrived at the peak of the album with "Bound To This World" an immeasurable quality and possibly one of the best songs recorded to date by Grant. In "Thunderbird" us one step closer to glory marked by the previous song. Finally we have "Walking In The Green Corn" the title track to this fantastic album honest and supreme quality. There is only good and expect the Grant-Lee is dropped on their upcoming tour of Spain as closely as possible, to go to one of their shows and enjoy intimate and personal songs.
