Un órgano de iglesia suena en la lejanía. De golpe todo explota un riff de guitarra acústica y la voz de George inundando de una melodía eterna complementan una de las canciones más grandes de los ochenta. Palmas, solos rockabillys, voces femeninas y una letra retorcida y diabólica. Así empieza "Faith" el Album más famoso de George Michael. "Father figure" es puro sexo, envuelto en misterio, más bien amor. Un balaron enorme increscendo para eclosionar en un coda apoteósico. Uno de los mejores estribillos de su carrera. Y si de amor y sentimientos iba el tema anterior el siguiente es puro ardor sexual. "I want your sex" es tan sucia y depravada como salir un viernes noche emborracharte y amanecer en la cama de una desconocída un domingo por la mañana. Levantarte y sin despedirte salir de su piso sin recoger los 3 preservativos usados del suelo de su habitación. "One more try" es como pedir perdón a tu novia el lunes por no presentarte a la cita del domingo por la mañana… Tierna, sensiblera y tan bonita que acaba creyéndote aunque sabe que eres un cerdo. George es un cerdo pero lo amamos. Temazo, canta como nunca y demuestra que si quiere esta a la altura de los más grandes. "Hard Day" es una llamada de la selva, un canto trivial al canibalismo estamos a jueves y ya estas pensando en la fiesta del viernes, fantaseando en superar el viernes pasado. Canta seductivamente, jugando con tus sentimientos, sin contar a Prince jamas un disco olió tanto a sexo y desenfreno. Pero sexo del sucio. Pero como te lo adorna tan bien crees que te ama… Jamas. La tónica de las voces femeninas aquí dan un toque perverso. "Hand to mouth" muy ochentera es de las más jazzys del disco. Es sábado estas en un piano bar y no has ligado… Borracho cantas tus penas antes de volver a casa a resolver tus penas onanisticamente. "Look at your hands" el George más juguetón aparece es en esta canción de aire negroide. Tus pies hechan humo. "Monkey" la noche acaba y el día aparece desesperadamente intentas agarrar el poco placer que anda disponible, tan simple como inspirada es una canción infravalorada. "Kissing a fool" siempre estas a tiempo de pedir perdón pero jamas tendremos el estilo de George, al menos el que destila en este simple tema donde casi acapella nos rompe el corazón. "A last request" es un tema que demuestra que si cantas bien puedes hacerlo sobre una base de mierda si es necesario… que horror de música. Fast foward por favor. Y así acaba este disco clásico de los 80's. Nunca más volvió a entregarnos un disco tan sexual, junto con "Lovesexy" de Prince los albums más tórridos de la historia.
