Siempre intento ver la vida con ojos de miope para así ver mas grande lo que me fijo. Degrees son cautivadores, estremecen y convencen desde la primera escucha. En cierto sentido la historia de Degrees dan para generar cierta distancia a los melómanos mas prejuiciosos. Ya sea por su origen Suecia país donde abundan mas las bandas con sonido de Eurovisión que por sonidos Shoegaze.
Indudablemente Degrees tienen un sonido que hacen recordar a The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart pero también tienen cosas muy diferentes, ellos planean más por tonos electrónicos que por la distorsión de guitarras y eso es algo muy de agradecer para todas aquellas personas interesadas que tiene la intención de meterse dentro del mundo Shoegaze/Indie/Noise, es un disco muy ameno a la hora de escuchar, con muchísimos tonos melódicos acompañadas con unas guitarras que hacen el mismo papel que continuamente te van hacer sentir en un estado bienestar.
Con Dream On Dreamy nos encontramos con un disco de 9 canciones hechas todas de la misma composición y textura de melodías, quizás la única que habría que destacar por su tonalidad mas suave seria "A New Dawn Fades, A New Dawn Waits" una canción con muchisima carga emocional, guitarras suaves y sintetizadores de fondo que estremecen y ni que decir que la voz de esta canción me vuelve a atrapar. Otras canciones que habrían que destacar serían "Idiot Dreaming" seguramente el single del disco y "At Least Rock & Roll Won't Leave A Hole In My Back" temas bastante "comerciales" y que no me extrañaría que un día las escucháramos en algún spot publicitario de la televisión.
Dream On Dreamy son frases, acordes y un sueño dentro de otro sueño para que continuamente se repita, hasta que te despiertes sin nada que no sea el amor por este disco.
I always try to see life through the eyes of myopic view larger so I fixed it. Degrees are captivating and convincing shudder from the first listen. In a sense the history of Degrees given to generate some distance to most music lovers prejudiced. Whether it's home country Sweden where there are many more bands sound that sounds Eurovision Shoegaze.
Degrees undoubtedly have a sound that remind to The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart but also have very different things, they plan more electronic tones that distortion guitars and that's something much appreciated for all applicants who have the intention of getting into the world Shoegaze / Indie / Noise, it's a very enjoyable listen when, with many melodic tones accompanied with guitars doing the same role that will make you feel constantly in a state welfare.
With Dream On Dreamy we find a record of nine songs made all of the same composition and texture of melodies, perhaps the only one that should be highlighted for its softer tone would be "A New Dawn Fades, A New Dawn Waits" a song very many emotional, soft guitars and synths that rock bottom and needless to say that the voice of this song caught me again. Other songs that would have to focus on include "Idiot Dreaming" probably the single disc and "At Least Rock & Roll Will not Leave A Hole In My Back" issues rather "commercial" and it would not surprise me that one day we listened to some television advertising spot.
Dream On Dreamy are phrases, chords and a dream within a dream to continuously repeat until you wake up with nothing other than the love for this record.
