The Killers siempre levantan una gran espectación en el regreso de sus discos y con "Battle Born" no a sido una excepción. El disco salió a la luz despues de 4 largos años con algunos discos individuales de algunos de sus integrantes y ese impass del tiempo no les han hecho cambiar en exceso, vuelven a tener una clara referencia al revival ochentero pero sin caer en el pecado de intentar ser un grupo de esa década como han hecho Muse con su último disco. A mi modo de entender casi es mejor no cambiar demasiado cuando la fórmula funciona a la perfección, vale, es cierto que si no arriesgas no avanzas pero el cambio conyeba 2 cosas que la cosa salga femonenal o que salga un desastre y des 4 pasos atrás. Ellos saben como es la clave del éxito y la ponen en practica en el disco, que sin llegar a ser una obra excepcional se deja escuchar bastante, con canciones de corte que bien podrían ser baladas hechas en los ochenta como "The Way It Was". La producción del disco es perfecta no se pierde en ningun momento y sigue la senda marcada durante todas las canciones.
La voz de Brandon Flowers sin ser una de mis preferidas reconozco que tengo especial predilección por tener esa capacidad de emocionar en los momentos justos, es agresivo cuando lo necesita y nostálgico cuando lo tiene que ser como en la bella "Here with Me" o ya la famosa "Deadlines and Commitments".
Tiene momentos estremecedores muy bien cuidados que hace que el disco tenga de todo, melodías bien hechas con ese aire épico tan bien llevadas por ellos. En lineas generales puedo decir que no será disco del año ni estará a mi parecer entre los 5 primeros, pero no es un álbum para dejar pasar una buena escucha y de bien seguro no defraudara a sus seguidores mas fieles, aunque también es cierto que habrá un sector algo mas contradictorio y hayan esperado un álbum mas "novedoso" y menos repetitivo.

The Killers always raised a big expectation for the return of their albums and "Battle Born" not been an exception. The album came out after 4 long years with some individual disks of some of its members and the time impass not have changed too much, again a clear reference to the eighties revival but without falling into the sin of trying be a group of the decade as they have done with their latest album Muse. The way I understand it is almost better not change much when the formula works perfectly, it is true that if you do not advance but do not risk conyeba two things change the thing out femonenal or leave a mess and des 4 steps back . They know how is the key to success and put into practice in the disk, without being an exceptional work can be heard fairly, with cutting songs that could well be made in the eighties ballads like "The Way It Was". The production of the album is perfect not lost at any time and follows the path set for all songs.
Brandon Flowers's voice is not one of my favorites recognize that I have a predilection for having that ability to move at the right times, is aggressive when needed and nostalgic when it has to be like in the beautiful "Here with Me" or as the famous "Deadlines and Commitments".
It has beautifully maintained shocking moments that makes the disc has all, well done tunes with epic that air carried by them as well. In general terms I can say that there will be no record of the year in my opinion in the top 5, but not an album to pass up a good listener and very sure not to disappoint his most faithful followers, but it is also true that there a sector somewhat more contradictory and have expected an album more "innovative" and less repetitive.
